Objectives
In view of the COVID 19 pandemic crisis which likely to prolong over many months, employers are facing economic challenges whilst HR activities need to be coordinated simultaneously with new business operating requirements. This program is designed to make participants aware of procedural aspects to be followed in enforcing disciplinary rules during and post MCO. Participants upon completion of this course would be able to deal with disciplinary issues, recommend and enforce appropriate disciplinary action while complying with best practice IR procedures. Common disciplinary issues arising during and post MCO will be highlighted.

Trainer
Ms Prema Kesavan, Sr Consultant – IR, MEF has extensive experience representing employers in Industrial and Labour Court cases. Ms Prema Kesavan graduated with an LL.B Hons with University of Wolverhampton, she also has a PgDip in Marketing with University of Northumbria. She handles member companies’ cases at the Industrial Court and Labour Court. She provides advice to companies on industrial relations and employment related matters including collective bargaining. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators.
She is also a certified PSMB trainer. She has conducted training programs for member companies in Petaling Jaya, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru. Prior to joining MEF she taught Business Law, Business Communication, Marketing and Labour Laws.
