With
a track record spanning over 50 years, the Malaysian
Employers Federation, as the central organisation of
private sector employers in Malaysia, has gained
recognition both nationally and internationally through
its prominent role and activities.
Nationally, the MEF has earned its reputation as an
authority in the provision of a forum for consultation
on principles and practices of human resources (HR) and
industrial relations (IR) through advice, training and
research activities. As the business environment becomes
more competitive, there will be greater demands for the
MEF to provide consultancy and advisory services to
members on all aspects of employment-related matters.
Thus, there is a need to strengthen its linkage with
selective employers’ organisations world-wide for MEF to
enhance its leadership role in human resource management
and also increase its influence in policy-making bodies.
