DATO' A. WAHAB BAKAR has more than 35 years of substantive corporate experience covering both local corporations and multinational companies ranging from airlines (Malaysian Airlines), oil & gas (Exxon Mobil), mining (Malaysian Mining Bhd), financial institution (CitiBank Malaysia) and food & beverage (Nestle Malaysia/Singapore - manufacturing & retail).
Over 13 years prior to his retirement he served on the Executive Committee of the company – Nestle Malaysia/Singapore overseeing the businesses in ensuring the long term sustainable and profitable growth of the businesses.
Upon retirement from active corporate service, he is a Freelance Consultant, Executive Coach (ICF certified), Mentor & NLP Certified Practioner. Whilst he is the subject matter expert in the whole gamut of HR management, his forte is on Organization Cultural Transformation, Performance Management, Talent Management & Development and Executive Coaching & Mentoring.

He is currently a Council Member of Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), and serves as Board Members of few companies. He also serves as Business/Corporate/Human Capital Advisor to few other companies. He represents International Organization of Employers (IOE) Geneva based organization for Asia Pacific on the Policy Forum for Development of the European Commission.
He is a graduate in Economics (Applied Economics) from University of Malaya, alumni of International Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland and London Business School. Recently been awarded Adjunct Professor of Graduate Business School of University Utara Malaysia. Dato' Wahab is also the co-author of the book “Your Dream Job” published in 2009.
