LEGAL EXPERIENCE

(DEC  2004- AUGUST 2021)
  • Lead a range of industrial/ employment litigation at the Industrial, Labour and High Courts, which include providing advice, negotiations, advocacy in tribunals and document preparation. Guard and anticipate against legal risks facing the company in employment matters and expand and advise company strategy and position on industrial relation matters.
 
 
ACHIEVEMENTS:
  • Facilitated initiatives to conciliate on numerous trade disputes on dismissals, which include drafting charges/show cause letters.
  • Developed employment contracts, documentation for mergers and retrenchment exercise and significantly strengthened a company’s ability to assign work based on business needs and employee skills.
  • Assisted and advised numerous employers in the application of Human Resources and Industrial Relations practices and legal principles as well as all other aspects of disputes resolutions/issues governing employee-employer relationships including mediation.
  • Successfully developed and conducted in-house training programmes and seminars on matters governing Industrial Law for clients.
