​MISS VICTORIA LIM HUI CHENG graduated with an LL.B (Hons) from Multimedia University, Malaysia in 2008. She also completed her Master of Laws from the same University in 2021.

 

Miss Victoria did her pupillage in Messrs Damian S.L Yeo & L.C Goh and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2010. She practiced her law under the same firm for 1 year before she joined Shen, Eow & Partners from 2012 to 2016. Her main duties in both law firms were to assist the partners of the law firms in conducting and managing litigation files and to assist the partners in conducting trials in many areas of law, primarily general civil ligation and intellectual property law. She also assisted the partners in managing application of Trade Marks, IP enforcement matters, legal research, drafting and vetting legal opinions and commercial agreements, translations and transcribing of legal documents.

 

Prior to joining Malaysian Employers Federation in January 2022 as an Associate Consultant – Industrial Relations, Miss Victoria was teaching corporate and business law related subjects for various levels in various accounting schools in Malaysia and China between 2016-2021. She was also a legal advisor to Premiumlogy Holding Sdn Bhd on a ad hoc basis, where she assisted in drafting agreements, provided legal advice on corporate matters.

 

Miss Victoria’s current duties at the MEF is to provide advisory services to member companies on Industrial Relations and labour related matters, represent member companies at the Industrial Court, mainly with regards to dismissal cases, constructive dismissal cases, and termination benefit cases.
