An organization is responsible to ensure compliance with a number of established international labour and employment standards, ranging from fair employment practices, policies and procedures and conform to Malaysian employment laws as well as requirements of customers. If the organization has a lower threshold/ standard than the international standards in employment, then the organization is expected to meet the international standards frequently imposed by the local or overseas suppliers/ clients.

An organization is committed to uphold the human rights of employees to safeguard the labour standards and to treat employees including the foreign workers with dignity and respect as understood by the international community.
Objectives
  • To highlight the various international labour standards and ILO Conventions that need to be complied by employers;
    To ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and regulations related to conformance with the international standards; 
    Skilling and upskilling of HR/IR practitioners to implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with the applicable legal and statutory requirements.

Since his employment with MEF in 2004, he has been conducting training courses in various topics relating to Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Handling Misconduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
