In recent years, the Malaysian Government has implemented various initiatives aimed at modernizing labor laws to align with international standards set by the International Labor Organization and to enhance compliance. These amendments are intended to improve labor efficiency and productivity. The efforts initiated during the 11th Malaysian Plan have continued into the 12th Malaysian Plan, encompassing revisions to crucial laws such as the Employment Act 1955, Trade Union Act 1959, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and
Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
This webinar will highlight the significant revisions to labor laws and their implications for employer-employee relations in the workplace, and aims to meet the following objectives:
1.To equip participants with the knowledge and skills
needed to implement the significant changes to labor
laws in Malaysia, and
2.To offer guidance to participants on workplace policymaking aligned with recent regulatory changes.
